| James Lafferty returns for One Tree Hill’s series finale |

One Tree Hill has had plenty of comings and goings over the years – as is to be expected for a show that lasts nine seasons. This year, series veteran James Lafferty’s role in the show was reduced, leaving it up in the air as to whether he’d appear in the series finale. Zap2it can now exclusively report that Lafferty has reached a deal with the studio and will be returning to North Carolina to be part of the final episode of the series. Due to Lafferty’s reduced role this year, his scenes for the entire season were pre-written. He was able to shoot all of his scenes in a four-week block over the summer to free up time for other projects and commitments. At that time, he did not film any scenes for the series finale, leaving us hanging as to whether or not we would even see Nathan in the last episode of the series. As long-time fans of the show, we’re thrilled (and, frankly, relieved) that Nathan, Haley, Brooke, and the rest of the gang will be together one last time before we say goodbye. The finale will shoot in early November. Though his character will be MIA for a portion of the season, Nathan remains an integral part of the storyline, and we’re hearing that fans of Nathan and Haley’s relationship can look forward to plenty of shared scenes between Lafferty and Bethany Joy Galeotti. One Tree Hill is expected to return to The CW in January, 2012 for an emotional 13-episode final season. Source: Carina Adley MacKenzie @ Zap2it |

“One Tree Hill” will soon be history, but before the cast wraps up its ninth and final season in Wilmington, they will spend some time with their loyal fans in a special Q&A session. The event “An Evening with One Tree Hill” will feature all the regular cast members from the current season and show creator Mark Schwahn, according to OTH co-producer Steve Goldfried. It’s scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at Beckwith Recital Hall at UNCW’s Cultural Arts Building. Goldfried says tickets will be very limited for the small venue. He says there will be about 100 tickets available to the general public for $50 each. About 75 tickets for UNCW students in the arts disciplines will be available for $10, Goldfried said. He said tickets should go on sale later this week. Cast members scheduled to appear are James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Sophia Bush, Austin Nichols, Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten, Paul Johansson, Jackson Brundage, Lisa Goldstein, Lee Norris, Antwon Tanner, Stephen Colletti and Tyler Hilton. “One Tree Hill,” the longest running TV series in Wilmington history, is scheduled to wrap shooting in mid-November. James Lafferty suits up for The Cinema Society and The Weinstein Company screening of Dirty Girl held at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema on Monday (October 3) in New York City. The 25-year-old actor was joined at the showing by Juno Temple, Tim McGraw, and Jeremy Dozier. After the screening, the stars headed over to Jimmy at the James Hotel for the party.
