James Lafferty was born on July 25th, 1985 in Hemet, California. He has been working since the age of 6. His mother Angie encouraged his brother Stuart and him to act as a hobby. He attended Hemet High School and played basketball for the bulldogs and even earned the MVP award. At the age of 10, he received his first speaking part and later a role on the short lived television series “Emeril” as Emeril Lagasse’s son. James also made guest appearences on “Once and Again” as Tad, “Boston Public” and “Get Real”. He also had a role in the movie “A Season on the Brink”, a basketball movie about the Indiana Hoosiers, where he was able to demonstrate his basketball skills. He graduated in 2003 from Hemet High and was enrolled at Cal State Long Beach before he received the role of Nathan Scott, the star basketball player who has recently abandoned his parents and hopes to start a new life as a newlywed in The WB’s “One Tree Hill”. He is currently living in Wilmington while filming, enjoys trips to the beach and playing football with his friends. |
